So Much Done!

I'm really good at this wedding planning stuff. I have a few checklists I have gotten from various sources and I'm already done with a lot of the 12-6 month things! I just spent 10 days in Chicago and accomplished quite a bit. We picked a date, August 11, 2012!

The Venue:
We decided on The Onion after a really close, agonizing decision. We ended up not liking the package at The Roundhouse as much as we thought we would. They also had no backup for an indoor ceremony if it rained. I knew that would cause me WAY too much unnecessary stress when it came down to it. Makray had a $13,000 food and beverage minimum before taxes and gratuity which would mean we had to invite about 30 more people and was way more than we were willing to spend. Seven Bridges was very pretty and I really liked the coordinator there as well as the whole package, but in the end I liked The Onion's ambiance more. It is a very nontraditional setting, which is more of what I was looking for.











The Dresses:
This is the back, it will be in this color (malibu).
The front, will obviously be in the other color.

The bridesmaids will be wearing this one in black with a malibu sash around the waist.


We put a deposit down on the venue, I bought my dress and my bridesmaids ordered their dresses. We also hired my friend's husband to be the videographer and are very close to confirming on our photographer and DJ! I also got a sweet hookup on the invitations through my Aunt. I'm pretty excited!
